ARO rafting on the Hudson was great! In addition to the best possible weather, ARO was so well organized that even in the Covid era we did not lose a beat. We had the best guide who made our trip fun, adventurous, and entertaining. It was thrilling but we also felt safe the whole time. It was a blast. Thank you for unforgettable day on the river!

We experienced the Black River in a whole new light, I'm glad my wife convinced me to go! Dylan was fantastic as our guide but you cannot go wrong with any of the knowledgeable staff. We booked late but ARO was more than accommodating in getting us in a boat. Highly recommend- excellent day from start to finish.

This was a family day out like no other! The guides outfit everyone with helmets, a paddle and life jackets. They explain everything is simple instructions and answer any questions. It's obvious safety is paramount with ARO! The rapids were great, nothing overwhelming but plenty thrilling! The scenery along the Hudson was awesome. Worth every dollar!

What a fantastic experience! None of us had ever white water rafted prior to going, but it didn't matter. If you have a sense of adventure, you're all set. The guides are professional, knowledgable and funny. Great company- my family had a blast! The Hudson River gorge region is the Adirondacks at their wildest and most beautiful. We plan on going again!

I had Nate as my guide and he was the best ever. I had a great time because of him. He was super informative and calm, it was obvious he was comfortable in the raft. But at the same time we was so funny and personable. He made an effort to connect to each person in the raft. I was in a group of college students and he was offering amazing advice to us. I would totally come back just because of Nate. 10/10 recommended to everyone. And if you do come try to be with Nate.

I just did the black river for the second time this year, the first time was in August. Both times have been a blast! Very knowledgeable, friendly staff with a clear love for the river and the sport. Lots of fun while keeping everyone safe. The snack at the middle is a great energy boost. A great day trip!
