Hard-Core Whitewater In April
The Moose River: Simply put, the Moose River is the wildest rafting trip in the Northeast.
Our high adventure rafting season is in April when the river awakens after a long winters nap and becomes the ultimate whitewater challenge for Springtime rafting. The Moose is not for everyone and even the hardiest whitewater veteran is quickly and rudely awakened to the reality of the Moose.
The Moose is unpredictable and our season is short. You only have to do the river once to find out why the Moose is referred to as "Slam-dancing with Mother Nature".
After your day on the river you will enjoy a Hot BBQ Dinner in in Old Forge, N.Y.
A great way to extend your adventure is to take advantage of the the ARO discounts offered at our Moose River base the Adirondack Lodge. ( 315 369-6836) They are offering an amazing deal for our Moose River rafters, only $59 for a room with two double beds. Stay the night before your trip, and wake up to a continental breakfast, right at our base. Hang out with guides and other rafters after your trip, relax and spend the night. For these great room rates, right at our base, just tell them that you are rafting with us.
When the river slows and July and August comes around we offer a delightful river experience for beginners and families. Our inflatable kayak trips are a great introduction into whitewater and a unique way to experience the river up close and personal. Trips are available river levels permitting.
